Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has urged the electrical industry to set big export targets, citing the sector’s potential for growth.
At an industry event, Goyal praised the sector for its $10 billion exports and encouraged it to increase to $25 billion over the next five years.
He also suggested that the industry organize exhibitions in Europe and the US to showcase India’s world-class quality standards and reliability in meeting energy needs.
Goyal emphasized the importance of quality control orders to protect the industry from unfair competition for low-quality goods.
He called on larger companies to support smaller ones in maintaining quality standards.
